Telefoongids

Die Piketberg Lionsklublede is tans besig om al die plaaslike besighede te benader om hulle advertensies vir die 2004 Lions telefoongids te finaliseer.     Elke jaar as the die telefoongids klaar versprei is, is daar 'n paar mense wat kla dat hulle nuut in die omgewing is en hulle wens dat hulle telefoonnommer in die gids is.   Enige persoon of besigheid wat in die Piketberg, Wittewater, Geodverwacht, Eendekuil en Porterville gebiede is en wie se nommer verander het, verkeerd is of hulle is nuwe intrekkers is welkom om Lions Pat, Gerry of Richard Kuhn op 022 913 1726 te bel of om die 'details' na ons op 022 913 1429 te faks of e-pos na: gkehe@telkomsa.net - in die 'subject' line, skryf net: 'telefoongids' - dan sal Pat dit dadelik hanteer.    Ons beoog om die gids vroeg in September klaar te kry.   
Concert
2004 Lions concert/peanut party - 23 July - not to be missed - Soli Philander is coming to help us!!!
With help from sponsors PPC De Hoek, Boland Spar and Brits & Pretorius Attorneys - Piketberg Lions club has great pleasure to announce that our annual fund raising concert will take place in PPC Club hall on Friday 23^rd July.    We want to use most of the money we raise to help set up Peace Gardens - a way of teaching poor families to grow healthy vegetables easily on a small piece of ground.    This promises to be a really great evening - our Master of Ceremonies for the evening will be the great entertainer, Soli Philander. Tickets will be on sale at Boland Spar, Brits & Pretorius or phone Pat on 022 913 1726 for more details; R60 per person for a concert with MC Soli Philander, casual supper and followed by a disco/dance.   Lions are very busy practising to give you a really great evening.
Lions new monthly fact file - information about Lions International:
Lions clubs are not allowed to use even one cent of money raised from the public (buying concert tickets, sponsoring us etc) for club admin.   It all gets put straight back into the local community; our club also has a policy of raising money locally and spending it locally.   
New President for Piketberg Lions club
The Lionistic year runs from 1 July to 30 June.   Lion Pat Kuhn has been President of the club for 2 terms - July 2002 to June 2004.    On July 1^st 2004 Lion Christie Erasmus will become the President for the next year. From Region chairman Gerry Kuhn and outgoing President Pat Kuhn - you will be a great President, good luck and enjoy it
